DIMENSIONS: 70mm x 70mm x 80mm

MATERIALS: Earthenware clay, honey glaze, gloss white glaze

My cup design ‘The Grain Mug’ draws upon a multicultural context to fulfil to inform its functionality and form. By using slip casting, I reworked a traditional Japanese tea cup into a broader drinking vessel after considering social similarities between different cultural drinking rituals.
